Our Mandate – HR Alliance Canada

Our Mandate

Human Resources Alliance Canada seeks to bring together Human Resources professionals from across Canada to unite with their peers to add strategic value to their profession, business or practice. The Alliance aims to help members leverage their expertise for both personal and community benefit.

Our Vision:

To create and grow a HR community that is interconnected, distinguished and impactful.

To foster a HR community that is supportive and encourages one another to become exceptional leaders within HR as well as their respective Jamati communities.

Our Mission

To provide a platform for our members to enhance their skills, share their knowledge and network with one another to become leaders in HR.

Our Guiding Principles

  • Contributing requisite tools and resources for success

Key Objectives

  • Enhancement of professional development and personal skills and capabilities of its members.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities, encourage collaboration and provide referrals amongst its members and partners.
  • Create and promote Mentor/ Mentee relationships.
  • Explore opportunities for sharing best practices, industry trends and other benefits and initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison within the Ismaili institutions and Jamati members to facilitate programs, events and referrals.
  • Partner with other Alliances to identify and promote job opportunities for Jamati awareness.
  • Encourage Member opportunities for voluntary service, within Canada and abroad

Goal #1 –Bring HR Professionals together toset up the right governance and structures and brand and communication strategy

  • Create a board of advisors
  • Delineate goals and responsibilities
  • Communicate to other institutions what our mandate is
  • Communicate and get members excited about mandate
  • Create entry criteria

Goal #2 – Enhance the HR Alliance community’s profile and careers and knowledge of their members

  • Engage and communicate with HR professionals
  • Setup/organize mentorship program
  • Setup/organize networking events – 3 times/year
  • Invite external speakers/leaders
  • Build growth mindset for HR professionals
  • Continuous learning opportunities
  • Collectively being leaders in the “future of work”

Goal #3 – Help the jamat through our knowledge and expertise

  • Provide strategic level advice, guidance and support to institutions
